Police Foils besigye Rally In Bukwe

Chaos in Jinja town as police intervened in a scheduled meeting at African Paradise restaurant where retired Col. Kiiza Besigye and current FDC president Patrick Amuriat were expected to address.

Following the closure of the meeting, supporters took the streets to voice their disappointment. Despite a lot of criticism from opposition politicians recently, the police did not hold back and fired tear gas and live bullets at protesters.
