A report from the World Bank on the education sector indicates that the African continent is facing a severe learning crisis that undermines economic growth and well being of its citizens.

During the opening of a two-day conference organised by the Ministry of Education in conjunction with Center for Advanced Strategic Leadership (CASO), the Minister for Education, Janet Museveni highlighted the contribution of private sector providers in the education sector, with a number of private schools doubling the government-aided schools in the country.

As a ministry, we have three objectives for our strategic development plan namely, to access equity, quality and relevance, as well as efficiency and effectiveness,” she said. Our government, the NRM government, has made strides in realising access and equity.

Thomas Rudmik, the Co-founder, Castle, said that their dream is for the vast majority of students to succeed, that learning becomes a joy it always was intended to be.

“With faith, we shall be able to transform education, create a better future for those we love, the children of this world,” said Rudmik.
