The National Drug Authority directed a recall of Lifeguard condoms with batch numbers 19040205 and 19050105 respectively. This was in a letter dated 30th October 2019 that was sent to the Pharmacist in charge of Marie Stopes.

In this letter, the National Drug Authority noted that the defective batch number of lifeguard condoms that was manufactured in April 2019 and is supposed to expire in March 2024, should be recalled for the failure of freedom from holes.

The second batch manufactured in May 2019, has been recalled for the failure of market standards and posses burst properties.

Marie Stopes has been given a period of two weeks to respond to the recall letter with a recall status report submitted to the National Drug Authority.
