Bugiri Sheikh Murder Linked To Land Wranggle

The police are dawning closer to making an arrest of the man involved in the murder of Imam of Lwemba Mosque in Lwemba sub-county in Bugiri, Sheikh Masudi Mutumba.

This comes after eight members of the family were arrested including a Bodaboda cyclist who is said to have driven the assailants to the Sheikh’s home.

According to police investigations, Sheikh Mutumba has been entangled in land wrangles with Koita Suleiman’s family.

“According to the preliminary facts, the shootings stemmed from an ongoing land wrangle with one called Koita Suleiman also of Busimba village,” said police spokesperson Fred Enanga.
