The Lord Mayor of Kampala Erias Lukwago says that only due to the intervention of the World Bank, is how Kampala has gained civility and sanity. He added that Jica is responsible for the flyovers.

“The facelift that you are seeing is thanks to the World Bank, but from our own sources, it is peanuts and these are some of the issues we are trying to align as KCCA,” said Lukwago.

The Lord Mayor says he has asked his colleagues that their budget proposals and appropriations be aligned to their mandate, vision and mission. He revealed that technical and political staff take over 100 billion Uganda shillings annually as wage payments.
