Minister Rukutana Granted Cash Bail

The State Minister for labour and Deputy Mwesigwa Rukutana has been UGX 4 million cash bail and his three sureties a none cash bail of UGX 50 million each.

Rukutana was arrested and detained at Kitalya Prison since September 7, 2020 after he was allegedly involved in acts of violence including shooting after the NRM primaries.

Rukutana was charged with attempted murder, assault, malicious damage, and threatening violence in the NRM Primaries in Rushenyi, Ntungamo district.

Court has barred Rukutana from getting close to any of the witnesses in his case.
