Micheal Mabikke who ditched DP for the youngest party failed to make it through the NUP sieve. Mabbike says the vetting process left a lot to be desired n terms of tribalism, cliques and favouritism that marred the process. Mabbike decried a process that locked out loyal party members and embraced moles and newcomers. He refuses to agree that he lost saying he has accurate results.
Lewis Rubongoya Secretary-General, NUP says much as the vetting process had some challenges, it was a normal process that in the end has the winners happy and the losers unhappy. He says they would have loved to hold primaries but due to some challenges, they opted for executive committee vetting that is allowed by the Constitution of NUP.
