Protests in Ntungamo against Rukutana’s Vote Lead

Transport has been paralyzed as angry locals cut off roads with stones and sticks protesting the 20-votes lead by Mwesigwa Rukutana over Kabasharira.

Protests are taking place at Rwentobo-Rwahi trading centres.

NRM EC chairman, Tanga Odoi asked to be given two days to pronounce the winner of Rushenyi County in the NRM Primaries.

Initially, Kabasharira had been announced the victor of the race then Rukutana petitioned for a recount.
