President Museveni last Sunday announced that schools will reopen for candidates and finalists this October as the rest wait for another announcement in January 2021. The announcement didn’t go well with a section of MPs who say it was not a wise decision. They say a dead year was ideal for the pupils and students since they have been out of the classroom for so long.
Patrick Kaboyo Education Consultant this morning on #NBSMorningBreeze took a divergent view. Kaboyo said the president didn’t decide on his own. He listened and a well research conclusion was made.
Kaboyo said a dead year shouldn’t apply to schools alone if it is to happen. He said a dead year will mean the elections should also be at a standstill.
