Weightlifter Julius Sekitoleko has been deported to Uganda.

Earlier this week, Weightlifter Julius Ssekitoleko, who went missing, was found by the Japanese police. Ssekitoleko had left a note in his hotel at Izumisano before he went missing. His note said that he wanted to stay in Japan and find work.

Julius Sekitoleko had disappeared from Uganda Camp in Japan where he had gone to represent the country in the Olympics game in the Weightlifting game. He was deported to Uganda and arrived today the 23rd of July 2021 aboard Qatar Airline.

Twine Charles the Public relations officer of CID headquarters confirmed that Julius Sekitoleko is being detained in Kibuli. He adds the weightlifter arrived when he was very tired, they will record his statement when he wakes up.
