Former presidential hopeful Dr Kizza Besigye says the lockdown was necessary however not so much has been done rather than the numbers of COVID19 infections coming down. Besigye says there is no plan in place.

Besigye continues to advocate for the reopening of schools. He says in the first phase of the virus, schools were closed so that teachers were vaccinated and this was not done. He says closure of schools until all children are vaccinated is not viable since we only have vaccines for people above 18.

Dr. Kizza Besigye says health is the driving factor of poverty in the country and should be and therefore a fundamental reset in the health sector should happen quickly.
