Ministry of Gender and Ministry of Education to Act on Teen Pregnancies

The Ministry of Gender Labor and Social Development has promised to work with the Ministry of Education to strengthen response measures that will mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on teenage girls who have fallen victim to sexual abuse while at home.

Their pledge follows concerns that many teenage girls might not resume school due to early pregnancies registered during the lockdown.
