Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja faults the poor performance of the government that dropped to 36% in the financial year 2020/2021 on leakages and she vows they will crack whip on corruption to ensure improvement.

“Our performance dropped to 36% as compared to last year where we performed at 50%. Reason being, COVID-19 due to the budget cuts. Budget cuts affected us.
This financial year, we have put measures. We have put zero tolerance to corruption so that leakages that were happening no longer take place,” said Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja

Nabbanja has cautioned public accounting officers against graft and called for vigilance while awarding contracts, especially in big government projects.
