No More Supplementary Budgets – Kasaija to Cabinet

The Minister of Finance Matia Kasaija has warned the cabinet that he won’t be accepting supplementary budgets unless they fall in the category of unavoidable and unforeseeable.

“Sometimes I sit with my staff and wonder. Is it still necessary to plan? Why don’t you include everything in the budget? The supplementary budget is making our lives very difficult.

We must budget and follow the budget strictly. I may decline to consider something that was not on the budget,” said Kasaija
