Uganda Breweries together with Coca-Cola Beverages Africa, KCCA, Ministry of Health, and National Initiative for civic education in Uganda (NICE UG) are organizing a special vaccination day on independence day; we wish to have a day dedicated to vaccination.

We would like to mobilize the population to come out in big numbers on independence day and get vaccinated.

The plan is to have a big venue- spacious enough to allow for social distancing where health workers will set up over 20 vaccination centers. We need to double the current vaccination rate.

This activity will start in Kampala and then move to other major cities in Uganda including Gulu, Mbarara, Arua, Mbale, etc.

Hon. Kyofatogabye Kabuye, Minister of State for Kampala Capital City and Metropolitan Affairs

“Lets all remember that today the #InternationalDayOfGirlChild. It’s upon us to push the Girl Child to vaccinate since that’s the only way we can get the nation moving. When a woman is empowered, the whole nation is.”

“Ever since the lockdown, I know your Fridays have not been the same.

If you want to go back to normal & enjoy your @Bell_Lager, please embrace the vaccination drive.” – Hon. Kyofatogabye Kabuye

Daniel Okello the KCCA director of Public Health

“Our target is to vaccinate as many people in Kampala as possible, effectively disseminating the available stock of vaccines to the population. This model has been tried globally and been proven to work.” Said Dr. Daniel Okello the KCCA director of Public Health
