Historians Say Colonialism Never Left Uganda 59 Years Later

Pre-colonialism, the longest river in the world was known as River Kiira, while the largest freshwater lake in the world was known as Lake Nalubaale. However, these were changed to River Nile and Lake Victoria, respectively, with the coming of explorers.

As the country celebrates 59 years of independence, historians call for the decolonization of landmarks, corporate culture, and roads.
