Uganda’s First Female Member of Parliament Dead
Florence Lubega, the first female Ugandan Member of Parliament, is dead.
Lubega served as the only female legislator in the Legislative Council (LEGCO) between 1958 and 1961.
She also became a Member of Parliament in 1962 when Uganda got independence.
