Emyooga Performance in Nakasongola District

Today, the Microfinance Support Centre together with Hon Haruna Kasolo the state minister for Microfinance are in Nakasongola District monitoring the performance of Emyooga In the District.

According to a report presented, 36 Saccos, 247 Associations, and 4631 individual members were registered.

Some of the Sacco registered include; Taxi Operators, Tailors, carpenters, women entrepreneurs, fishermen among others. The district received one billion one hundred nineteen million nine hundred ninety-five thousand (1,119,995,975) as Seed capital for 36 SACCOs in two constituencies Nakasongola and Budyebo. So far,374,388,340 UGX has been mobilized in savings by the SACCOs in addition to the received seed capital.

Members have benefited through accessing loans at a low-interest rate with no security.

The program has also benefited small business owners especially women to improve their daily income in their households by boasting their businesses with affordable loans
