Kotido Registers Highest Number of Street Children

The government is concerned about the increasing cases of parents selling children in the Karamoja sub-region, which has left many running away from their homes onto the streets of town centers in Karamoja.

Whereas the government committed UGX 3 billion to construct a rehabilitation center in Kobulin, in Napak district, for street children, the center has not done much to address the situation.

Authorities are now on the hunt for the perpetrators, escalating the problem.
