NUP Heading to Court Over Kayunga By-election

The National Unity Platform has officially reacted to the Thursday Kayunga LCV Chairperson by-election.

The polls allegedly marred by multiple electoral malpractices saw NRM’s Andrew Muwonge declared winner amid accusations of vote-rigging from the NUP camp. On the way forward, the party Spokesperson, Joel Ssenyonyi said their candidate, Harriet Nakweede has decided to go to court.

Our candidate decided to go to court with all the DR Forms for the court to count, maybe they have better calculator. The same way we have put the regime to test and exposed them, we want to put the courts to test,” Ssenyonyi said.
