Over 200 families sitting on the contested Kasawe Land in Mutungo, a Kampala suburb, are living in fear of being evicted by the Uganda National Roads Authority without any compensation.

The National Environmental Management Authority reveals that the affected residents illegally occupied a wetland.

This was revealed after the State House Anti-corruption Unit head Col. Edith Nakalema intervened in the land disputes, which have lasted for over 20 years.
