The President to update on lockdown – Nabbanja

Whether we are going for another lockdown or not will come in the President’s speech. However, Ugandans have been compliant with the SOPs. I thank them for that.

We had a meeting with the President yesterday, and we had several recommendations. The President will address the country on Friday, and he will give you the concrete resolutions that we made. 

The #COVID19 cases are increasing. Ugandans have to be very careful. Please follow the usual SOPs – Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja

 

While the president asked to study the report further so as to make a conclusive way forward, he reminded the committee of the promise he had earlier made to  Ugandans that the economy would be fully reopened in January.

It appeared the president was between a hard place and a rock to go against his words

According to the source, the president’s body language pointed to the reopening of the country fully.

“At the end of the day president seems to be for opening without being very committal,” another reliable source informed us.
