Lira-Kamdini Road to be Funded by Government – Museveni

President Museveni has withdrawn Lira-Kamdini road from a World Bank funded project, government will directly fund the construction of the road to ease tension within the community.

President Yoweri Museveni’s pronouncement came barely hours after a section of Members of Parliament and LC5 chairpersons from Lango held a protest march expressing dissatisfaction with the current state of roads in the Sub-region.

I’m now going to pull it out of the World Bank and fund it. We are going to fund it directly like we did in Kamwenge because the situation of the road is very bad,” Museveni
