Taxi Operators Excited About Opening of Economy

The leader of Taxi Operators at the New Taxi Park, Rashid Ssekimpi says they were taking people at half capacity, they then increased the transport costs, which led to a drastic decline in the number of people who used taxis. As a result, some stages stopped operating because the people had shunned travels.

With the new directive that has allowed operation at full capacity, business can return to normal.

Ssekimpi however says it will be difficult for them to ensure that only vaccinated travellers enter their taxis, but they can ensure that all passengers have their masks on.
