The Judiciary Spokersperson Jameson Karemani while appearing on Morning Breeze show this morning said the mandate of the Judiciary is to resolve disputes through adjudication. The disputes adjudicated are presented before the Judiciary. The Judiciary is not supposed to be seen siding with any side.

Karemani said they have got to receive the complaints, and make statements through court decisions.

We are presumed not to know what is happening until it is before us,” Karemani said.

Reacting to Kakwenza torture claims he said,

Kakwenza appeared to be normal when he appeared in the courtroom. I have seen pictures in the papers. The pictures must be produced in the court, not in the papers.”

Kakwenza had applied to court to get back his passport so that he can go abroad for further treatment. Court rejected the request saying they have reviewed his medical forms and his health doesn’t necessitate him flying.
