Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has officially become a member of the East African Community (EAC) bringing with it a population of 90 million people, the region’s GDP is expected to be uplifted from $193 billion to $240 billion.
President Museveni hinted on concerted efforts towards ending war in the newest member state of the now Seven partner states of East African Community during the historical meeting yesterday.
We now need to work on stability in Eastern Congo. That area has been unstable for a very long time. If we work together, that problem can be solved,” President Museveni.
