Speaking at the installation of new Speakers of Parliament, President Museveni warned against allegations going around that the Jacob Oulanyah was poisoned.

The president noted that Oulanyah was in a reputable hospital and details of his death will be provided.

I would like to warn the people who use hard situations to do cheap politics. I hear them saying Oulanyah was killed. You will be called to the police to explain because you know,” President Museveni

The President urged the new Speakers not to celebrate as yet because we are still mourning for Oulanyah. In a humorous way he mocked the new Speakers.

You see the wigs they are putting on. Wigs! Why are you putting on wigs? I was a Speaker but never put on the wig. I’m not mad. In Tanzania, they have changed, they don’t put on wigs,” President Museveni

The president urged the legislators to work towards ending poverty irrespective of political affiliation.
