According to Ministry of Health, despite the progress made, Malaria remains the leading cause of death among children.
It’s against this background that the Ministry is seeking new interventions in the fight against the deadly disease. These include immunizing children against the disease.

According to the ministry of health, five areas still have high cases of malaria with Karamojja taking the lead. The response activities against the disease suffered much during the covid19 pandemic, as government and stakeholders’ focus changed to the killer virus.

With the commemoration of World Malaria day that was celebrated Monday, 25th April 2022 there is stronger resolve to fight the killer disease by the Ministry of Health and partners.
