Joshua Cheptegei Retains World 10,000 Title

Joshua Cheptegei and Jacob Kiplimo will each receive $70,000 and $22,000 in prize money after their gold and bronze medal finish in the World Athletic Championships which are going on in Oregon, USA.

“It’s amazing. It is Uganda’s fourth gold at the World Champions. It cements my dominance in the sport.” Cheptegei said on winning his race Sunday evening.

Uganda Revenue Authority has affirmed that the two won’t be taxed at all in a move to encourage sport in the country
