Desire Derekford Mugumisa is a Senior Sports Reporter and Show host on NBS Sport, he is also the Head of Corporate Affairs and sports broadcaster at Next Media Services, the home of NBS Television.

Starting out as a 16-year-old boy invited to a TV show to speak about food, Desire Derekford Mugumisa has unconventionally made a media, marketing, and communications career for himself where there seemed to be none, in a manner not many could attempt, along the way developing an insatiable appetite for helping others maximize their potential.

A story of purpose, intent, and perseverance has seen the 31-year-old seamlessly transition from a TV presenter that went his first seven years without pay to an all-round media personality, sports marketing and public relations trailblazer, talent manager, public speaker and MC, brand manager, a leadership enthusiast, among others.

Leveraging the unique lessons from a life of rebelling global social benchmarks, Mugumisa – a self-acclaimed uncompromising lover of Ugandan quality – works with individuals and organizations to amplify their communication, connection, and confidence to make an influential impact on Uganda and the world.

Mugumisa is a husband, father of 2, and of the Baha’i faith.
