Supreme Court Delivers Election Petition Ruling

The Supreme Court has this morning given a detailed verdict of the petition that was filed by former presidential candidate John Patrick Amama Mbabazi who was challenging both the election of Yoweri Kaguta Museveni as the President of Uganda and the results of the elections which were announced by the Electoral Commission.
With Chief Justice Bart Katureebe and Justice Esther Kisaakye out of the country, Justice Jotham Tumwesigye alongside six other justices delivered a detailed ruling in a fully packed courtroom full of lawyers representing political parties’ , the media and members of the public.
