The rise of musician turned politician Bobi Wine, came with the rise of the People Power slogan and the movement that camouflaged into a political party NUP ahead of the 2021 elections.

NUP left very many who had identified with People Power but in different political parties with a dilemma of quitting the movement or joining NUP. Several opted to join NUP, but a few still maintain they believe in People Power but not NUP.

Among those is Hon. Paul Mwiru who left FDC for ANT and still vows he is People Power at heart despite belonging to ANT, which he says has the best values.

It is not clear if Paul Mwiru would have joined ANT had it been formed at the same time NUP was formed.
