Okello Oryem Confirms Arrest and Deportation of Lumbuye to Uganda

“Lumbuye is in the custody of Turkish authorities together with other Ugandans. They have already been deported, and they are en route to the country. They will arrive in the country tomorrow morning.

Lumbuye and his accomplices will be interrogated and then prosecuted in court depending on the charges preferred by the DPP.

I want to assure Ugandans that Lumbuye and his accomplices will not be tortured. On arrival, they will be received by relevant authorities, and the law will take its course.

Nobody is above the law, including me. Lumbuye and his friends will have to pay the price,” said Okello Oryem this afternoon.
