We Don’t Have Safe Houses – Minister Jim Muhwezi

The Minister for Security Maj. Gen. Jim Muhwezi has refuted claims that the internal security organ uses safe houses to torture suspects.

The Minister was appearing before the Human Rights Committee of parliament in an inquiry into the increasing human rights violations in the Country.

He says safe houses are only used for operational purposes in security but not for detaining suspects.
