Mabira Forest on Road to Recovery


Mabira Central Forest Reserve to many Ugandans is mainly known to those that ply the Jinja – Kampala High way that stretches straight through the rain forest linking the Eastern region to the Central region of the Country. Available information from the Geographical Information Systems and Mapping department shows that the tropical typical high forest remains intact and thick except for the Eastern part that is undergoing restoration planting due to the degradation that occurred in the 1970s
