Ugandan Citizens In China Demand Evacuation By Government


Uganda students studying in China have petitioned the Speaker through Kawempe North legislator Latif Ssebagala who read the petition on the floor of Parliament seeking Parliament’s intervention.

“Therefore our atmost plee is that the government of Uganda use its diplomatic engagement with the Chinese government to allow for a timely evacuation exercise,” said Latif Ssebagala.

Government Chief Whip, Ruth Nankabirwa’s submission on government’s plan to send logistic support was not satisfactory and this prompted the Speaker Rebecca Kadaga to summon the Prime Minister to give a brief to the house on the fate of Ugandan students in China.
