Muslim Clerics Decry High Commodity Prices

Muslim clerics in their Eid messages asked government to deal with the high commodity prices that have affected Eid celebrations, this as the prices of essential commodities such as wheat and cooking oil are high and many people are unable to afford.

Appearing at Old Kampala Mosque, Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja told the Muslim faithfuls that the high prices are a global trend caused by COVID-19 and the Russia-Ukraine War.

The increment of commodity prices is as a result of #COVID19 and the Russia-Ukraine war. This increase is global, but we know and believe that it’s temporary.

The Muslim Clerics also expressed interest in wanting to unite the Kibuli and Old Kampala factions.
