The Karamoja Hunger Crisis

The National Unity Platform this morning released a consignment of food for Karamoja that includes; 5,000 tones of posh0 and beans in a bid to fight Hunger that has claimed lives of more than 70 people.

The party accused the the ruling government of remaining silent while citizens in the Karamoja region die of hunger.

Even during times of crisis, the regime has maintained a deafening silence and has put the welfare of the populace last in favor of enriching itself with the natural resources of the Karamoja region. This is simply another proof that Ugandans are totally on their own.

The Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has revealed that government is committed to the famine crisis in Karamoja and has allocated shs 135 billion to address it.
