Police Arrest Errant Subaru Driver

Police have arrested an errant driver captured in a viral video circulating on social media attempting to run over a traffic officer (Katongole Josam) on Kampala Road.

The driver of a motor vehicle, registration number UAZ 515C, identified as Mukwaya Issac, according to Police, chose to endanger the life of the police officer instead of complying with the directives.

“He attempted to deceive the authorities by pretending to be sick when brought in for interrogation. However, upon examination, it was determined that he was in normal health and had intentionally inserted the cannula into his hand.” Uganda Police

Mukwaya is currently detained at Kampala Central Police Station. The police have filed three charges against Mukwaya; violating traffic lights, reckless driving, and attempted murder.
