Following the official announcement of Jovia Mutesi as the future Queen of Busoga Kingdom, her familial roots have been traced to St. Matia Mulumba Zone in Mayuge Town Council, Mayuge District. Jovia Mutesi’s father, Stanley Bayoole, serves as the Resident District Commissioner of Bulambuli and belongs to the Baise Mugosa Clan in Mayuge District.

Stanley Bayoole’s residence in St. Matia Mulumba Zone served as the venue for the traditional introduction ceremony of the Kyabazinga, held on a Thursday afternoon. In an interview with NBS TV, RDC Stanley Bayoole confirmed that he officially presented his daughter, Jovia Mutesi, to Kyabazinga Gabula IV as his wife.

Regarding details about the new queen, Stanley Bayoole deferred to the Kingdom Premier, highlighting that only he could provide authoritative information. He revealed that Queen Jovia Mutesi hails from the Baise Mugosa Clan in Mayuge, a fact that has sparked excitement among the people of Mayuge.

The Prime Minister of Busoga, Dr. Joseph Muvawala, announced during a public statement that comprehensive details about the Queen would be officially disclosed during the upcoming Busoga Lukiiko, preceded by a royal wedding scheduled for November 18, 2023.
