Soroti: Accident Claims Lives of Two Students

Two students from Midland High School lost their lives, and 31 others are currently receiving critical care at the Soroti Regional Referral Hospital following a tragic accident this morning.

According to witnesses, the incident occurred when the bus driver, transporting the students from Kaberamaido to Jinja for a geography trip, crashed into a parked trailer a few kilometers from Soroti. The driver is yet to be identified and is currently on the run, prompting a police hunt.

Busitema University has expressed deep regret and extended sympathies to the families of the deceased. The university also stated that the incident has been reported to the Soroti Central Police Station.
