Gen. Katumba Wamala Speaks Out on Allegations of Punching Hon. Zaake in Parliament

State Minister for Works, Gen. Katumba Wamala has spoken out on the scuffle in Parliament last week, refuting reports that he hit Mityana Municipality MP, Francis Zaake. TV footage showed Gen. Wamala as reaching out for MP Zaake who was hitting at security operatives in the chamber, leading to talk that the General had dealt Zaake one of the blows that led to his hospitalization.
Wamala says he had no hand in battering Zaake’s and adds that he is disappointed with how the opposition MPs behaved in the house. The General spoke to Samson Kasumba earlier today.
