Intern Doctors Ask Government For Salary Increment During Lockdown

Medics under the body Federation for Uganda Medical Interns have asked the government to consider increasing their salary and also give them a salary scale as requested in their petition. The Chairperson Welfare FUMI, Herbert Luswata delivered their demands during a media address where he revealed the need for protective gear for interns to the government.

“We ask parliament to look into the matter of increasing our salary and give us a salary scale as requested in our petition. We also ask parliament to release the salary for the month of March such that it can enable them to go through the tough times of lockdown,” said Dr. Luswata.
