Ssebagala Quits Kampala Mayoral Race

National Unity Platform flag bearer for the Kampala Lord Mayoral slot Latif Ssebagala has stepped down from the race, citing the need to maintain unity for the good of the opposition.

Ssebagala insists that he is still a member of the National Unity Platform and will continue to support Robert Kyagulanyi for the presidency.

He has asked the party (NUP) supporters to be understanding as he will soon unveil a new plan. This comes just days after he beat among others prominent musician Joseph Mayanja aka Chameleone to the NUP ticket.
