The Kampala Geopolitics Conference is a free public, academic discourse on the current global geopolitical trends and issues of international relations, initiated in 2018 by the Embassy of France in Uganda, with inspiration from Les géopolitiques de Nates organized annually by the French Institute for International and Strategic Affairs (IRIS).

 

The 4th edition of the Kampala Geopolitics Conference is scheduled for Wednesday 10th, Thursday 11th, and Friday 12th November 2021 at Makerere University Central Teaching Facility (CTF2) Auditorium.

 

Below are the details of the 2021 conference:

 

More than 80 local and international speakers will discuss over 15 topics of interest, under the general theme, ‘Crisis and Opportunity, Mapping the geopolitical Importance of Africa,’ including:

  2. Vaccine Nationalism and Diplomacy in the Times of the Pandemic
  3. Approaches towards the Restitution of African Cultural Properties from Colonial Times
