Lawyer Male Mabirizi out of Jail

Male Hassan Mabirizi, returning from an 18-month sentence in Luzira Maximum Prisons for contempt of court, has claimed that there is an extreme violation of human rights within Uganda’s detention centers, a claim that Uganda Prisons Spokesperson Frank Baine has refuted.

Male said he was excited to be out of jail, and he will continue with his struggle for the rule of law and constitutionalism in the country.
