Clashes Erupt During FDC Swearing-in Ceremony in Masaka

Clashes erupted during the swearing-in of FDC leaders in Masaka town when some members opposed the event, claiming it was not conducted properly.

The ceremony was supposed to happen at Viena Hotel but faced disputes. Police intervened, declaring their lack of prior knowledge about the meeting and subsequently dissolving it.

FDC members regrouped at a leader’s home after three hours of fighting and completed the swearing-in, pledging support for activities in Najjanankumbi.
