Police Fires Tear Gas At People Power Supporters

People Power spokesperson Joel Senyonyi led a crowd of supporters of the red top movement from Buganda road court where they had converged to show support to their leader, Hon Robert Kyagulanyi.

The People Power supporters had converged at Buganda road court to show support for their leader Hon Kyagulanyi who was expected to be tried over holding an illegal assembly.

However, the case did not proceed because three of the accused persons did not appear to court without explanation. The court decided that the matter will be resumed on the 24th of February 2020.

The growing people power crowd moved through downtown Kampala to Kamokya. The police had been on their tail and tried to disperse the crowd but with no success until they resorted to using tear gas to get the job done.
