Ssegirinya, Ssewanyana in Court

The mother to jailed Kawempe North MP Muhamad Ssegirinya has stormed the court in Masaka and verbally attacked Regional State Prosecutor Richard Birivumbuka, accusing him of delaying her son’s release.

This was during proceedings into the case in which the Ssegirinya and Makindye West’s Allan Ssewanyana are battling charges relating to the Masaka killings. Ssegirinya and Ssewanyana asked court to release them since there is no evidence against them yet so that they can go on with their lives and also receive treatment.

The presiding Grade One Magistrate, Her Worship Christine Nantege, adjourned the matter to 23rd March 2022 for further mention.
