The State has dropped terrorism charges against Omusinga Wa Rwenzururu, Charles Wesley Mumbere, and 217 others.

This is after the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) said the accused applied for amnesty, which has been granted.

The Rwenzururu King was battling charges of murder, treason, and aggravated robbery and his movements had been restricted to Kampala and Wakiso.

However, with the charges dropped, the Omusinga can now go back to his Kingdom after seven years.
